Fireflight in the studio!
The band Fireflight is taking a much deserved break from the summer heat to record a new record. They will be in the studio for the month of August before the Scars Remain Tour with Disciple, Fireflight, Dizmas and Wavorly in mid-September. Newsboys to perform at 9/11 memorial service
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Aug. 10, 2007——Inpop Records' pop/rock band newsboys will perform at the Pentagon’s sixth annual memorial service to be held in the Pentagon Auditorium on Sept. 11, 2007. The event will honor those who gave their lives at the Pentagon and elsewhere on 9/11.
The multi-faith service will include members of the armed forces as well as government employees and their families. Additionally, the band will be hosting a concert immediately following for all employees.
“The events of 9/11 touched us all,” says Peter Furler, lead vocalist of Newsboys, “and the willing sacrifices of the men and women of our Armed Forces to defend the United States is truly awe-inspiring. We are honored and humbled to have been asked to be a part of the memorial service at the Pentagon this year, and we hope our music and message will be an inspiration to all those who attend.”
