New Carried Away album coming August 28th

(NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- Carried Away's debut album Closer To You (Word Distribution) was Canada's best selling debut for 2005, and earned the group two 2005 Covenant Awards (Canadian Gospel Music Association) for Song of the Year (“I know”) and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year. Since the release of their critically acclaimed disc, the trio has been on a whirlwind journey both professionally and personally. The Ontario-bred group comprised of sisters Colleen and Pam Walker, plus their cousin Christine Prankard, have spent the past few years touring full-time, including the Shoutfest Tour, Women of Faith and Pure Fashion events, solo headlining dates and opening slots for artists like Point of Grace, Casting Crowns and Avalon.

Now in their 20's and with a few years of experience under their belts, the girls of Carried Away have come of age with their music and ministry, reaching out to hundreds of thousands of people throughout North America. With their sophomore CD I Want You set for release on August 28th through CMC Distribution (Canada) and a new partnership with Infinity Music Distribution (USA), the trio is demonstrating significant artistic and spiritual growth, while simultaneously possessing an even more direct set of goals for the new album.

The new album merges numerous musical styles, including pop, acoustic rock and inspirational worship. “Smile,” about the joy of being alive, evokes popular praise leaders such as Aaron Shust and Chris Tomlin, while “Feel It Inside” and “Just Believe” take on the modern radio approach of Natasha Bedingfield or Michelle Branch. Yet the group points out that their influences range from the likes of Natalie Grant, Avril Lavigne, Coldplay and The Fray.

I Want You will be released on Canadian label Glide Records on August 28th, with distribution in Canada through CMC Distribution, and in the USA through Nashville-based Infinity Music Distribution. A major marketing campaign includes Gospel Music Week and ICRS appearances, heavy touring, numerous television appearances including a recently taped episode of Live at Studio B, and a new EPK shot by Kingsbury Films. "Mystery," the album's first radio single, is going for adds in June.

Stryper's Original Roxx Regime Demos

On July 10, 2007, Fifty-Three Five Records will release the original demo recordings of legendary Christian metal band Stryper, or Roxx Regime, as they were known in 1983. The CD known as The Roxx Regime Demos, contains no over-dubs or re-recordings, and includes the original version of the MTV and Billboard hit song "Honestly," will be in stores nationwide through Infinity Music Distribution and Redeye Distribution, Inc.

"We're excited to release what the fans have always wanted - the original demos that got the band signed to Enigma Records," says lead singer Michael Sweet, who recently released a new solo project titled HIM. "Without the fans, we wouldn't be here and this is a small way to say 'Thank you'. For all of you who have requested this time and time again, it's finally here - in their original raw form!"

Long before Stryper's multi-platinum albums and chart-topping videos, brothers Robert and Michael Sweet teamed up with high-school classmate Oz Fox and local bass player Timothy Gaines to form a band that would forever change Christian music. The group released a demo project in 1983 under the name Roxx Regime and started playing the local Hollywood club circuit. They eventually caught the ears of Enigma Records and changed their name to Stryper before the release of their national debut album, The Yellow and Black Attack, in 1984. Stryper would go on to sell more than 8 million albums worldwide, with several projects striking RIAA-certified gold. The group’’s unprecedented 1986 album To Hell with the Devil went platinum and was named one of the ““100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music”” by CCM Magazine.

Starting today, Stryper fans can pre-order The Roxx Regime Demos exclusively at www.Stryper.com, where an original vintage Roxx Regime T-Shirt will also be available. All pre-orders will ship on 7-7-07.
